Spot the norms
Look at the pictures of the exercise. They show three different pairs of pictures for the social media of a fictional company. The first pair of pictures shows a typical male-coded expression and a typical female-coded expression. In the second pair of pictures, the traditional roles are reversed, and in the third pair, both people are photographed with a similar expression.

Do the following
Look at the different pictures for a while and consider the following questions:
- What do the persons signal?
- What does their body language say?
- What do their eyes say?
- Why do you think the photographer chose to photograph the person this way?
- Do the pictures say anything about the existing expectations, conceptions, and prejudice of women and men?
- Is there anything else in the pictures that influence your perception of the persons?
Discuss
Go through the pictures together and talk about your personal observations.
- What happens if the persons switch places? (Take a look at the pictures where the roles are reversed.)
- What do you think of the pictures where the persons are treated in the same way?
