Welcome to a broad speciality
General medicine in Värmland is a broad specialty, particularly in healthcare centres located further from hospitals. The majority of patients with chronic diseases such as dementia, heart failure, type II diabetes, COPD, and asthma are diagnosed and managed at these centers. Additionally, there are opportunities to work in children's and adolescent healthcare, maternity care, and palliative care.

We work in teams, often led by a doctor, at the local healthcare centres. Patients are matched with the most appropriate professional based on their medical needs.
